Record Growth in Colombian Dairy Exports: A 75% Surge in 2025
Colombia's dairy sector is experiencing unprecedented growth. From January to April 2025, the country's dairy exports grew by an astounding 75%, increasing from 2,994 tons in 2024 to 5,238 tons in 2025. This significant momentum suggests the year will end with record figures, solidifying the industry's international positioning.

This growth is a result of an increased presence in key destinations, including Venezuela, the United States, and several Central and South American countries. Analac credits the expansion to the quality, competitiveness, and current export capability. At the Agroexpo 2025 in Bogotá, it was highlighted that the sector's annual production ranges between 7 and 8 billion liters, generating over a million formal jobs across the supply chain. Additionally, the sector has multiplied its foreign shipments from 5,085 tons (2023) to 12,329 tons (2024), with strong continuity in 2025.

The seminar 'Present and Future of the Dairy Chain' saw participation from over 300 stakeholders, discussing challenges like sustainability, traceability, and technological innovation. The need to strengthen relationships between producers and international markets was emphasized. This export dynamism presents a unique opportunity: it strengthens the rural economy, provides foreign currency, and reinforces Colombia's position on the global map. The dairy agro-industry is shifting from local to become an international player.
