Raw Milk Production in EAEU Reaches 34.5 Million Tons

According to the analysis presented, over the last five years, raw milk production in the EAEU has increased by 2.5%. The self-sufficiency level with dairy products in the member countries is estimated at 85.3%.

The insufficient self-sufficiency of the domestic market, alongside rising production levels, creates different challenges for industry participants. On one hand, companies need to increase their output and reduce reliance on supplies from outside the EAEU. On the other hand, increasing production volumes creates opportunities for export development and sales area expansion.

The presentation noted that promising areas for the dairy industry include functional products, lactose-free products, dairy products with increased protein content, as well as new packaging formats.
