Pyongyang Municipality has significantly increased its dairy production and storage capabilities, leading to improved supply for children and healthcare facilities.

Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) — Pyongyang Municipality reports a 130 percent boost in dairy product output and a tripling of production and storage capacity compared to last year, achieved by expanding its dairy production foundation. This expansion has ensured a consistent supply of quality dairy products to all children in the municipality, as well as those receiving medical care in preventive and curative institutions.
Efforts to enhance the production infrastructure include advancing the general stockbreeding base in Kangdong County. Here, officials and farmers have raised milk output by enhancing the breeding coefficient of dairy cattle and goats while implementing scientific husbandry and veterinary systems. Over the past year, the region saw the construction of numerous goat pens and an increase of over 2,000 lactating goats.
Additionally, more than 110 tons of milk powder were produced over the last two months. The Pyongyang Children's Foodstuff Factory notably expanded its production and storage capacity by 3.2 times. The municipality continues to pursue scientific and practical measures to elevate both the quality and quantity of dairy production, including the adoption of more efficient breeding methods and the breeding of supra-species.
