Butter Production in Russia Increases by 1.7% in January–August 2025

The production of milk (excluding raw milk) rose by 0.7% to 4 million tons, cottage cheese by 1.6% to 326,000 tons, and cheese by 0.3% to 571,000 tons. Meanwhile, the production of fermented dairy products decreased by 1.2% to 1.5 million tons.

The output of sunflower oil and its unrefined fractions decreased by 15.6% to 4.7 million tons;

The production of wheat and rye-wheat flour fell by 6.4% to 5.7 million tons;

The output of cereals decreased by 9.1% to 1.1 million tons;

The production of white beet sugar decreased by 3.2% to 1.25 million tons;

The production of confectionery products decreased by 5.2% to 2.6 million tons.
Poultry meat and by-products production increased by 2% to 3.5 million tons, while the output of beef, pork, lamb, goat, and horse meat decreased by 1.4% to 2.5 million tons. The production of processed and preserved fish, crustaceans, and mollusks decreased by 0.6% to 2.9 million tons.
Overall, food production in Russia decreased by 0.9% over the eight months of 2025, while beverage production dropped by 3.8% compared to the same period last year.
