The PIROT Dairy Plant is owned by businessman Zdravko Rayachich and the company PAK PROMET Kragujevac - 50% each, and has all the necessary documents and permits to operate.
"The production goal is to make Pirot cheese, which has a trademark with geographical indication (which was also exported to America before the war in the former Yugoslavia and was considered one of the most famous brands). Therefore, a significant portion of the milk should come from this region, as this cheese cannot be obtained from milk from other regions, which is related to the quality of the grass from the Pirot area," - representatives of The DairyNews.today company reported.
Additionally, the plant can produce traditional white "Pirot" cheese in slices. It is important to note that the dairy plant is located in a duty-free trade zone. The capacity of the enterprise is 60,000 liters of milk per shift. The facility covers an area of 5,700 square meters. The infrastructure is fully implemented, with roads around the buildings paved to ensure smooth communication. The buildings are connected to the city's water supply and sewage system, and electricity is provided by the "Electric Power Industry of Serbia." The site includes a gas boiler room, a dedicated boiler room to supply steam necessary for the production process, and a transformer substation for uninterrupted power supply.
