Pennsylvania awards Jubilee Dairy $971,006 for biogas and power equipment
The project comprises an anaerobic digester and a combined heat-and-power unit with a capacity of 0.2 megawatts. The equipment will process manure and animal scraps into biogas, which will be used to supply the farm with electricity and heat.
RISE PA, short for Reducing Industrial Sector Emissions in Pennsylvania, provides grants for industrial decarbonisation across the state. Its $396 million funding comes through the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grants.
Jubilee Dairy received one of the programme’s initial awards for medium- and large-scale projects. Those recipients were announced in April.
An announcement scheduled a visit to the farm by Jessica Shirley, Pennsylvania’s secretary of environmental protection, and Russell Redding, the state’s agriculture secretary, for October 29th 2026 at 10:30am. The event was intended to highlight the programme’s role in agriculture and industry.
The venue was Jubilee Dairy at 1612 Pecks Road in Middletown, Pennsylvania. The listed participants also included state senator Patty Kim, state representative Tom Mehaffie, John Williamson of TeamAg Inc., and the farm’s owners, Jeff and Kendra Nissley.
