Oakridge Dairy Farm Opens 24/7 Self-Serve Store in Connecticut
Oakridge Dairy, a major dairy farm located in Ellington, Connecticut, has officially opened its own self-service store on site. This new retail outlet allows customers to purchase a variety of Oakridge Dairy products, including whole, chocolate, coffee, and strawberry milk, at any time of the day. In addition to milk, the store offers fresh lemonade, orange juice, and local cider.
The store operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and transactions are conducted exclusively through a self-serve credit card payment system. Located at 76 Jobs Hill Road, the store aims to provide convenient access to fresh, local products, directly from the farm to the consumer's table.
Oakridge Dairy officials emphasized the importance of supporting local agriculture and delivering simple, fresh products to the community. They stated, "It's Fresh, local, simple — from our farm family to yours." This initiative marks a significant step in making farm-fresh dairy products more accessible to consumers in the region.
Such developments highlight the growing trend of direct-to-consumer sales within the dairy industry, which not only benefits local economies but also ensures that consumers have access to high-quality and fresh products directly from producers.
