NZ Muscle Recalls Creatine Due to Undeclared Milk Allergen

NZ Muscle Ltd is recalling its creatine products due to the presence of an undeclared milk allergen. The recall is part of an ongoing investigation by New Zealand Food Safety into the company's products. Affected items include NZ Muscle Creatine and No Brand Creatine Monohydrate across various sizes, all marked with the batch date B/B JUN27.

The recall affects products sold at selected retailers and online throughout New Zealand. A small quantity was also sent to Australia as personal imports. New Zealand Food Safety encourages consumers with milk allergies to return the products to the place of purchase for a refund or to dispose of them if a return is not feasible.

Mike Inglis, acting deputy director-general of New Zealand Food Safety, noted the main concern is the absence of milk allergen warnings on the product labels, which is crucial for consumers with allergies. The products have been removed from store shelves as a precautionary measure.
