Ninth Avenue Foods to Construct New Dairy Facility in Texas
Ninth Avenue Foods, a fourth-generation family-owned dairy and beverage company, is expanding its operations with a new facility in Longview, Texas. The company has filed the necessary paperwork with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for the construction of a $76 million dairy plant, which is expected to bring 150 jobs to the area. The plant will be located at 5921 Lou Galosy Way, with construction set to commence on Monday.
The Longview Economic Development Corporation (LEDCO) played a pivotal role in securing the company's choice of location. According to LEDCO CEO Wayne Mansfield, several other Texas cities were considered, but Longview was chosen partly due to its adequate water supply. The LEDCO board of directors approved a performance agreement to facilitate the establishment of the plant in October.
The new facility will be Ninth Avenue Foods' third manufacturing plant, with existing operations in California and Indiana. The Longview plant is planned to cover 288,786 square feet and is slated for completion by November 1, 2027.
This expansion underscores Ninth Avenue Foods' growth strategy and commitment to increasing its production capacity to meet rising demand. The company has over 50 years of experience in the industry, leveraging its expertise to enhance its market presence across different states.
