Nestlé will expand Moça into ready-to-make desserts in Brazil
Nestlé is broadening the role of its Moça brand in Brazil with a new range aimed at preparing complete desserts rather than supplying only individual ingredients. The company will introduce Pudim Moça and Brigadeirão Moça in Brazilian supermarkets from October 2026.
The products are expected to be prepared in three stages, with less than 15 minutes of active work. Nestlé said the format is intended to shorten kitchen tasks while allowing consumers to make the desserts at home.
A response to shorter cooking routines
The launch follows research by UOL’s Consumer Insights department and MindMiners. The survey found that 30% of Brazilians said they had no time to spare in the kitchen and preferred recipes that were simpler and faster to prepare.
Pudim was selected as a dessert associated with family occasions in Brazil. Brigadeirão uses the combination of chocolate and condensed milk and is positioned for lunches, gatherings and everyday consumption. Nestlé said the two products are intended for family meals, meetings and other routine occasions.
A global platform with local recipes
The Brazilian launch is part of Nestlé’s Modern Cuisine platform, which develops food-preparation solutions for several markets while adapting them to local culinary habits. Brazil and China are the first markets chosen for the initiative, but they will not receive identical products.
In China, the platform will offer tiramisu and cheesecake solutions. Stephanie Arnesen, head of the Dairy Culinary Solutions category within Nestlé’s Food Strategic Business Unit, said the programme combines a global innovation platform with country-specific adaptations. She said Nestlé was drawing on its food-industry expertise and its understanding of consumer needs to simplify dessert preparation at home.
For Moça in Brazil, the new products represent a move from an ingredient-based offer towards solutions that guide consumers through more of the process of making a finished dessert. Pudim Moça and Brigadeirão Moça are the first products through which Nestlé will test that format for the brand in the Brazilian market.
