The programme prioritises coffee, chocolate, nutrition and health. Spending will cover additional production lines, equipment purchases, technological upgrades, increased manufacturing capacity and sustainability initiatives. In September 2026, Nestlé announced that its Nutrition and Health division would receive R$2 billion by 2028, approximately 30% of the national investment package. The division’s allocation includes industrial expansion and modernisation projects.

Within that allocation, Nestlé plans to spend R$600 million building a nutrition-products factory in Ituiutaba, Minas Gerais, in the Triângulo Mineiro region. The facility will stand beside the company’s existing industrial complex. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027 and is expected to create about 700 temporary jobs. Production is due to start in 2028, with approximately 100 permanent direct positions. The initial product range will comprise Nestogeno, Nestonutri, Ninho 1+ and Ninho 3+. According to Nestlé, the plant will be highly automated and will help supply Brazilian demand, some of which is currently met through imports.

The Nutrition and Health programme also assigns R$540 million to the factory in Araçatuba, in São Paulo state. The investment, running through 2028, will upgrade the facility, introduce new technologies, improve operating efficiency and expand production capacity. The plant manufactures infant formula and medical-nutrition products.

In Araras, also in São Paulo state, Nestlé has announced approximately R$1 billion of spending between 2025 and 2028 on its soluble-coffee factory. Plans include installing an additional coffee-extraction line and upgrading equipment, with production capacity expected to rise by approximately 10%. The factory exports to dozens of countries. Nestlé intends the expansion to strengthen its manufacturing operations and increase its ability to serve consumer markets.

At the Nescafé Dolce Gusto factory in Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, approximately R$450 million is earmarked for expansion. The project is expected to increase capacity by 40% and add about 7,000 square metres to the industrial premises. It includes two additional lines making coffee and other beverage capsules, equipment upgrades and a dedicated area for filling soluble-coffee sachets.

The first stage of the Montes Claros expansion is expected to generate approximately 1,000 direct and indirect jobs. Further work is scheduled to continue through the first quarter of 2028, with additional employment opportunities expected by the company. Together, the announced first-stage positions in Montes Claros and the construction and operating jobs in Ituiutaba account for the employment figures detailed for the programme.

In Vila Velha, Espírito Santo, Nestlé will install additional lines to increase output of chocolate, chocolate confectionery and products combining chocolate with biscuits. The project forms part of the company’s plans to expand manufacturing capacity and modernise its Brazilian operations. The national package also covers other expansion, modernisation and innovation initiatives across its operations.
