National FFA Partners with World Dairy Expo for Judging Contest
The National FFA Organization has officially endorsed the World Dairy Expo's 2026 FFA Dairy Judging Contest, marking a significant collaboration aimed at promoting leadership and hands-on learning in agricultural education. This partnership will see the National FFA promote the contest to its extensive network of more than 1,042,245 student members across 9,407 local chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The 2025 contest saw participation from over 100 schools nationwide, highlighting the enthusiasm and commitment among FFA members. The contest traditionally draws teams from the Midwest and as far as California, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, and Texas.
The 2026 contest is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, in Madison, with registration opening on July 13, 2026, and closing on September 11, 2026. According to Lexa Miller, Cattle Show & Contests Coordinator for World Dairy Expo, the partnership is expected to encourage more chapters to participate, further strengthening the competition and educational experience.
Christine White, Chief Program Officer for the National FFA Organization, stated that this initiative reflects a shared commitment to developing the next generation of agricultural leaders. The World Dairy Expo offers unparalleled opportunities for young leaders to connect with the dairy industry and engage in high-level dairy cattle evaluation.
World Dairy Expo, scheduled for September 29 to October 2, 2026, in Madison, remains a premier event for the global dairy industry, featuring world-class competitions and networking opportunities.
