Munroe Dairy Appoints Kayla Viveiros as New Chief Executive Officer
Munroe Dairy, a long-standing provider of farm-fresh dairy products and local goods in Rhode Island, has appointed Kayla Viveiros as its new Chief Executive Officer. The company, which has been in operation since 1881, is currently managed by the Armstrong family, who have been at the helm since 1936.
Viveiros was chosen for her expertise in modernizing systems and leading people-focused organizations. Her role will involve enhancing core operations, investing in infrastructure, and strengthening partnerships with local vendors. She aims to ensure Munroe Dairy continues to deliver quality products and services while supporting workforce development.
Prior to joining Munroe Dairy, Viveiros worked at Polaris MEP, where she led strategic initiatives that generated $785.9 million in economic impact. She has also managed projects exceeding $90 million in technology adoption and operational optimization.
Munroe Dairy, known for its eco-friendly practices, sources its milk from family-owned farms in Massachusetts and Connecticut. The milk is minimally processed and delivered in reusable glass bottles, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainability.
The company also operates the Sacred Cow Scoop Shop and Market, which offers premium ice cream and select grocery items, further expanding its local product offerings.
