MIYM Announces High-Tech Dairy Facility in Aguascalientes with Record Investment
In 2025, Mexicana de Industrias y Marcas (MIYM) announced a major investment of 1,100 million pesos for a new agro-industrial plant in Rincón de Romos, Aguascalientes. This initiative is set to enhance the regional economy and modernize the agro-food chain.
The plant will bolster the national dairy chain by initially processing 500,000 liters of milk daily, with plans to increase capacity to 1.5 million liters in the coming years. This expansion will benefit milk producers and related service sectors.
The industrial complex will be developed in two phases, utilizing cutting-edge UHT processing technology and specialized infrastructure for cheese, yogurt, cream, and dessert production. The facility will also feature a smart warehouse, administrative areas, and green spaces, making it one of the most advanced agri-food installations in Mexico.
Aguascalientes was chosen for its talent availability, basic resources, logistical connectivity, and legal certainty, highlighting competitive local conditions crucial for high-impact investments.
The project incorporates sustainability and governance criteria, including treated water reuse and generating up to 50% of energy with solar panels, setting a benchmark for agro-industrial investment, employment, and sustainable development.
