Milma Expands to Australia and New Zealand with Strategic Dairy Export Pact

The Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (KCMMF), known under the Milma brand, has taken a notable step in extending its global market reach by signing a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RG Foods and Midnightsun Global. This agreement targets the competitive dairy markets of Australia and New Zealand.

Milma, represented by Chairman K S Mani, finalized the MoU with strategic partners RG Foods and Midnightsun Global in a bid to tap into these established markets. The deal was executed by Milma's Managing Director Asif K Yusuf and the executives from the partnering companies.

Under the terms of the agreement, RG Foods, led by Executive Director Vishnu G, will handle logistical operations, including product pick-up from Milma premises, transportation, customs clearance, and freight forwarding, ensuring compliance with the import regulations of both Australia and New Zealand.

Midnightsun Global, with Bindu Ganesh Kumar as proprietor, will act as a coordinating partner, facilitating the export process without retaining ownership rights over the Milma products. This delineates the roles within the supply chain, emphasizing a separation of responsibilities.

This strategic move aims to fast-track Milma's entry into the Antipodean markets, reflecting the cooperative's confidence in its product quality and operational capabilities to manage complex international export requirements.
