In the second quarter of 2024, households in Kazakhstan produced 413.5 million liters of fresh milk, which became a significant part of the total output valued at 56.5 billion tenge, representing an increase of 2.6% compared to the same period in 2023, according to Dairynews.today, citing data from energyprom.kz.
Revenues from milk sales amounted to 14.1 billion tenge, making up 62.1% of all food sales revenues.
The largest production volumes were attributed to dairy products such as butter (12.5 billion tenge) and sour cream (11.8 billion tenge). However, total food sales revenue, including dairy products, in the second quarter amounted to 22.7 billion tenge, which is 31.2% lower than the previous year.
