Argentina's dairy sector has witnessed a significant boost, with milk production rising by 19.7% in May compared to the same month last year. Key factors contributing to this surge include enhanced feeding strategies, improved animal health, and better farm management practices.

The Organization of Dairy Producers (OCLA) reports these enhancements have resulted in an average daily production of 3,204 liters per farm. Favorable climatic conditions and nutritional improvements have played a crucial role. Despite challenges in 2024 due to drought and poor forage quality, 2025 has marked a turnaround with a return to growth.

The OCLA notes that prior to 2024, the farms were growing at an average of 5% annually, but adverse conditions paused this growth, and the current figures suggest a positive recovery trajectory. The trend reveals that farms investing in efficient management are well-positioned to maintain this progress, though vigilance regarding climate conditions and supply availability remains essential.
