Milk Deliveries and Prices Decline in June in Spain

In June 2025, the milk deliveries and prices in Spain continued their downward trend, which has persisted since the start of the year. Recent data indicates a 1.6% decrease in deliveries compared to the same month last year, reaching 616,864 tons. This decline is part of an ongoing downward trend since January.
The average price of raw milk in Spain also dropped to €0.496 per liter, remaining below the European Union average of €0.529 per liter for the same period. The reduction not only reflects in the volume of milk delivered but also in the number of producers, which fell to 9,085 by the end of May 2025.
Similarly, the organic milk sector is facing a comparable situation, with reported volumes reaching 3,730 tons at an average price of €0.61 per liter, a slight decrease compared to May's price.
In conclusion, the Spanish dairy industry faces a contraction in both production volume and prices, a situation that has extended throughout the first half of 2025.
