Milk and Yogurt Prices Surge in Peshawar Amid Rising Inflation

Consumers in Peshawar faced another blow from inflation as the prices of essential dairy products, including milk and yogurt, surged sharply.
On Thursday, the price of milk increased by Rs60 per litre, pushing the cost of buffalo milk from Rs180 to Rs240 per litre. Similarly, cow milk prices saw a hike, with the price rising to Rs200 per litre.
In addition to milk, the price of yogurt has also seen a significant rise. Yogurt prices per kilogram have increased by Rs30, now reaching Rs220 per kg for regular varieties. In the premium category, yogurt prices have climbed to Rs260 per kg.
The steep rise in dairy prices is further exacerbating the financial strain on consumers, who are already grappling with the impact of inflation across various sectors.
