Midwest Dairy, the prominent checkoff organization representing over 4,000 dairy farmers across a ten-state region, has officially announced Corey Scott as its new Chief Executive Officer. With a wealth of experience in the food and agriculture sector spanning more than 15 years, Scott is set to assume her role on March 13, 2024, succeeding retiring CEO Molly Pelzer.

As an accomplished dairy leader, Corey Scott previously served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Athian and held various leadership positions over 15 years with Land O’Lakes and its sustainability division, Truterra LLC. Her extensive background in the industry positions her well to steer Midwest Dairy through its next chapter.

Charles Krause, Chairman of Midwest Dairy, expressed enthusiasm about the appointment, stating, “I am excited for this new chapter in Midwest Dairy's long history of excellent CEO leaders. I look forward to working with Corey on the many opportunities we have to serve our family dairy farms.”

Scott, an alumna of the University of Minnesota and the Carlson School of Business, holds both an Executive MBA and undergraduate degrees. In recognition of her commitment to sustainability, she was named one of GreenBiz's 12 Women Cultivating Sustainable Food Systems in 2023. Scott also earned a U.S. Dairy Sustainability Award for her contributions to reducing dairy's overall environmental footprint.

Expressing her gratitude for the opportunity, Scott commented, “I am honored to serve as CEO for Midwest Dairy and work on behalf of dairy farmers across our ten-state region. I have worked with dairy farmers throughout my career and am always struck by the passion they show for their cows, the environment, and our communities.
