Russia is ready for any Swiss countermeasures over the transfer of Nestle's Russian assets to temporary management. Dmitry Birichevsky, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Department of Economic Cooperation, made the statement in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Birichevsky described the decision on Nestle's assets as a reciprocal measure in response to Switzerland's actions. Temporary management has been entrusted to a Russian company.
According to the diplomat, ownership of the assets remains unchanged under this arrangement. He also stated that Russian assets in Switzerland have been removed from commercial circulation.
Nestle's production facilities in Russia will continue to operate in consumers' interests, the Foreign Ministry representative said.
