Mercoagro Lácteos expands and seeks exhibitors in Argentina
Mercoagro Lácteos is now planned as a two-pavilion event with about 120 exhibitors, compared with the initial design of one pavilion and roughly 70 participants. The fair is scheduled to take place from September 14th to 16th 2027 at Parque da Efapi in Chapecó, in Brazil’s Santa Catarina state.
The event is being organised by the Commercial, Industrial, Agribusiness and Services Association of Chapecó, known as ACIC. In August, the association presented the project in Chapecó. In September, it took the fair to Tecno Fidta, an industry event in Buenos Aires, for an international launch.
The delegation from Santa Catarina held direct commercial discussions in Argentina with companies supplying machinery, technology and other solutions for milk-processing industries. The organisers said the talks were intended to develop contacts with potential exhibitors for the 2027 fair.
Nadir José Cervelin, the event’s general organiser, said: “We want to bring together in Chapecó companies that contribute to the development of the dairy industry. To do that, we need to go where exhibitors are, learn about their solutions, hear their expectations and present the opportunities our region offers. Taking Mercoagro Lácteos to Argentina broadens this dialogue and builds, from now on, connections that may become business at the fair.”
The programme is expected to include more than displays of products, machinery and technology. It will also feature an international seminar on milk processing, with technical sessions addressing challenges and opportunities in the production chain. The organisers intend the event to bring together companies, co-operatives, suppliers, buyers, technicians and industry leaders.
Chapecó is in western Santa Catarina, an area with a significant share of the state’s milk production as well as dairy processors and co-operatives. The fair’s organisers aim to place those existing production capabilities in contact with solutions related to productivity, industrial processing and the creation of added value in dairy products. ACIC is also drawing on its experience with Mercoagro, a related fair focused on the meat industry, as it promotes the new event ahead of its debut.
