In a pivotal meeting on May 6, in Paris, France, Mengniu Dairy and The Bel Group signed a "Sustainable Development Cooperation Proposal" at the sixth Sino-French Entrepreneur Committee meeting.

Mengniu’s Executive President, Li Pengcheng, alongside Frédéric Médard, CFO and Chief Impact Officer at The Bel Group, inked the agreement, ushering in a collaborative effort to propel sustainable development practices across the dairy industry. This partnership aligns with both companies' dedication to environmental stewardship and coincides with the 60th anniversary of Sino-French diplomatic relations, emphasizing its historical and strategic importance.

The agreement focuses on mutual sustainable development goals, such as implementing low-carbon farming techniques, enhancing nutritional awareness, and combating food waste. Both companies are set to share their best practices in sustainability and decarbonization of food production, aiming to reduce environmental impacts and improve the efficiency of dairy farming.

The Bel Group, known for its commitment to a healthier and more sustainable food system, plans to leverage its century-long expertise to support this initiative. With a robust presence in 126 countries and a portfolio of popular brands like The Laughing Cow and BabyBel, The Bel Group is well-positioned to influence sustainable practices on a global scale.
