Marat Kambolov Appoints Erislav Zasseev as Minister of Agriculture of South Ossetia

Erislav Zasseev took charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of South Ossetia. The decision was formalized by a decree from the President of the Republic, Marat Kambolov, which came into effect on October 15. The appointment was announced by the press service of the head of state.

Before this appointment, Zasseev became one of the winners of the republican management competition "Komanda budushchego". In September, Kambolov proposed him to lead the agriculture department. The president noted the candidate's professional experience and his understanding of the agricultural sector's issues.

Zasseev was born in the town of Kvaisa. He spent a significant part of his professional career in the agro-industrial complex of North Ossetia. Previously, he also headed the agricultural administration of the Prigorodny District.

Kambolov instructed the new minister to pay special attention to supporting farmers. Among the tasks set by the president were also the achievement of concrete results in agriculture. Other parameters of the department's work were not specified in the appointment announcement.

The ministerial position is associated with the updated structure of executive bodies of South Ossetia. Previously, the department was called the Ministry of Agriculture of South Ossetia. After the structural change, it received its current name — the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
