Maggie McClain Appointed as VP of Communications at IDFA
The International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) announced the appointment of Maggie McClain as Vice President of Communications, effective April 20, 2026. McClain, who has nearly two decades of experience in strategic communications and public affairs, will join IDFA to enhance its communication strategies concerning policy and advocacy.
McClain will report to Andrew Jerome, Senior Vice President of Strategic Communications, and collaborate with various departments within IDFA, including government relations and trade. Her role will involve leading media relations, member policy communications, and digital advocacy efforts, focusing on nutrition, trade, food safety, and workforce innovation.
Maggie McClain previously served as Senior Vice President at FleishmanHillard, where she led integrated communications campaigns for food, agriculture, health, and consumer brands. Her professional background includes roles at H+K Strategies and the Consumer Brands Association.
Dr. Michael Dykes, President and CEO of IDFA, expressed confidence in McClain's experience and leadership to navigate the complex policy environment affecting the dairy industry. McClain herself emphasized the vital role of dairy in America's food security and her commitment to advancing the industry's priorities.
