Müller to launch spoonable Kalinka kefir in Germany in November 2026
The launch introduces a creamy format to a Müller kefir range previously sold as a drink. The spoonable products contain live, active cultures, as does the existing Müller Kalinka low-fat mild drinking kefir. The new range will be stocked in the refrigerated dairy aisle.
The plain version, Müller Kalinka Kefir mild aus Magermilch Pur, has a fat content of 0%. Müller highlights its protein content, with a claim relating to muscle-mass growth, and its calcium content, with a claim relating to normal energy metabolism.
The fruit range comprises strawberry-pomegranate and peach-mango varieties, each sold in packs containing two 125g pots. Müller describes the first as combining sweet strawberry with a slightly tart pomegranate flavour, and the second as pairing peach with mango.
Neither fruit variety contains added sugar, although both contain naturally occurring sugars. The company highlights protein in both varieties for its contribution to muscle-mass growth and vitamin B12 for its contribution to normal immune-system function. Its product announcement also refers to the importance of a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Molkerei Alois Müller GmbH & Co. KG was founded by Ludwig Müller in 1896. Theo Müller took over the business in 1971, after which the former village dairy developed into a large-scale dairy operation. The company says it now processes around 140 million kilograms of milk at its original Swabian base.
The company's product categories include buttermilk, kefir, corner yoghurts, rice pudding and Müllermilch. Müller describes itself as retaining leading positions in these segments and puts recognition of its brand at nearly 100% in Germany.
