Londrina Employees Can Donate Milk to Four Charities
Municipal employees in Londrina, in Paraná, are being invited to take part in a milk donation campaign organised by the city’s Municipal Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply, known by its Portuguese initials as SMAA. Participation is voluntary, and each employee may give one litre at their workplace.
The collection will remain open until October 20, which is the final day of the city’s Municipal Food Week. After the deadline, SMAA teams will collect the contributions from bodies belonging to Londrina’s direct and indirect municipal administration.
The recipients are the Viver non-governmental organisation, the Tamarozzi Foundation, Lar Maria Tereza Vieira and Ilece. The organisations were selected with assistance from the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance, taking into account the profile of the people they serve.
Milk was selected for the campaign
SMAA said milk was chosen because of its nutritional value, particularly for children and older people. The decision also considered the product’s conservation and storage requirements.
The initiative is being held for the second time as part of the programme for Municipal Food Week, which runs from October 13 to October 20 under the theme “Innovate today to nourish tomorrow”. The programme brings together several municipal secretariats and partner organisations for activities related to food in the municipality.
The campaign was reported on October 16, 2026. The collection forms part of the week’s activities and is intended to provide milk to the four participating charitable institutions after the municipal collection period ends.
