The National Nominees are:

1. John & Karen McErlean - Poplar Partnership – Manawatū
The Poplar Partnership stands as a beacon of dedication to its people, livestock, and land stewardship. Through the establishment of a dairying company owned by themselves and nine employees, John and Karen McErlean prioritize animal and soil health. 2. James & Debbie Stewart – Dairylands – Manawatū

3. Steve & Tracy Henderson - Legendairies Ltd – Southland
Steve and Tracy Henderson of Legendairies prioritize fostering a supportive community and encouraging personal growth within their farming enterprise. Their dedication to people aligns seamlessly with their vision and values. Through the Legendairies brand, they share their farming journey, promoting on-farm food production while implementing unique team rostering and variable milkings to prioritize community engagement and contribution.

The Fonterra Responsible Dairying Award celebrates outstanding contributions in the responsible dairying arena, showcasing the achievements of the New Zealand dairy industry and inspiring others to follow suit. These nominees, selected by an industry-wide panel, will be honored at the National Final Gala Dinner at Coronet Peak on May 11th. Alongside 32 National Finalists representing 11 regions, they vie for top honors and a share of the $200,000 prize pool.
