A new semi-skimmed, ultra-pasteurized, and 100% natural milk brand is set to launch in June in Aguascalientes.

A new semi-skimmed, ultra-pasteurized, and 100% natural milk brand will be launched in June in Aguascalientes as a result of collaboration between local companies Grupo Gilsa and Segalac, announced Isidoro Armendáriz García, head of the Secretariat of Rural and Agro-Business Development.
The product will be available in stores and supermarkets in the state at an estimated price of 15 pesos per liter. This initiative aims to provide a nutritious and affordable option for the entire population, beyond the sectors attended by the Alileche program.
"The aim is to balance the market, strengthen local consumption, and ensure families have access to milk produced in Aguascalientes, free from adulterated formulas or added ingredients," the official stated.
The milk will be processed with state-of-the-art technology using machinery imported from Colombia, allowing for a daily production of up to 400,000 units.
Gilsa and Segalac have joined forces not only to supply the population directly but also to establish a commercial line that benefits all consumers without compromising sanitary quality or product conditions.
Aguascalientes currently produces between 1.5 and 1.7 million liters of milk per day.
To maintain this volume without affecting the price due to a drop in demand, three main strategies have been implemented: strengthening of the Alileche program; industrialization of milk through Segalac, which is preparing to process up to 100,000 liters daily into cheese; and the creation of this new brand.
