French dairy conglomerate Lactalis has announced plans to invest 250 million reais ($41.7 million) to upgrade its operations in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Lactalis to Invest $42 Million in Brazil's Dairy Operations
The investment program aims to modernize, expand, and optimize the company's seven industrial facilities in the state, according to a statement shared by the Minas Gerais government and confirmed by Lactalis.

The investment, set to roll out through 2026, will increase Lactalis' total expenditure in Minas Gerais to 736 million reais since 2020. The company operates factories in Antônio Carlos, Guanhães, Pará de Minas, Pouso Alto, Sabará, Sete Lagoas, and Uberlândia. It also manages logistics units in Contagem and runs its administrative office from Belo Horizonte.

Currently employing 3,654 people across Minas Gerais, Lactalis plans to expand its workforce starting in 2025, reflecting its commitment to growth and regional economic development.

This investment reinforces Lactalis’ position as a major player in Brazil’s dairy industry and underscores its focus on enhancing efficiency and production capacity to meet growing market demands.
