Lactalis Increases Milk Prices Amidst European Dairy Market Surge
Lactalis has announced a price increase of 1.5 cents per liter of milk, bolstering an upward trend started earlier this year in response to improvements in the European dairy market. The new base price is now 42.5 cents per liter for the contract valid until next spring, along with an increased volume bonus aimed at medium-sized farms.

Additionally, the basic hygienic quality bonus will rise from 0.5 to 0.8 cents, while the super AA category remains at 1.5 cents. These adjustments come at a time when the average European dairy prices are rebounding, pressuring Spanish industries to reflect this dynamism in their origin prices. In summary, Lactalis reinforces a policy of quality and volume incentives aligned with a recovering dairy market, though challenges of competitiveness and equity among farms remain on the sector's agenda.
