Kyrgyzstan Increases Dairy and Honey Exports Significantly

Kyrgyzstan has seen a marked increase in the export of its dairy and honey products. During the reporting period, the country exported 19,915.55 tons of dairy products. This included 2,339 tons of ice cream, 100.56 tons of butter, 674.54 tons of cheese, 197.77 tons of fermented milk products such as kumys and kurut, and 189 tons of whey.

In addition to dairy products, natural honey exports also rose, reaching 228.84 tons in the first half of 2026. According to the Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Agriculture, these figures reflect a sustained demand for Kyrgyz products in international markets and highlight the growing export opportunities in the dairy and beekeeping sectors.

The country's focus on developing agricultural processing and enhancing its export capacity aims to produce high-quality and competitive food products for the global market. This aligns with Kyrgyzstan's strategic objectives to strengthen its agricultural sector.

In a related development, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have engaged in a land exchange under a border demarcation agreement, although this is not directly linked to the increase in exports.
