Kyrgyzstan will soon receive a batch of 4 million doses of foot-and-mouth disease vaccine, a key measure to strengthen veterinary protection amidst growing livestock numbers. The delivery was announced by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Rustam Baltabayev, who noted that the agreement was reached during negotiations with the Russian side.

During a parliamentary discussion, deputies highlighted a systemic issue—the shortage of veterinary specialists. Baltabayev noted that the lack of personnel indeed persists, which could limit the effectiveness of preventive measures, including vaccination.
