Kyrgyzstan Triples Dairy Exports Over Eight Months in 2024

In the first eight months of 2024, Kyrgyzstan exported 3,600 tons of dairy products, valued at $8.1 million—an increase of 2.8 times compared to the same period in 2023, when exports totaled 1,300 tons worth $2.2 million, according to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
The main export destinations included Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan. Kazakhstan led with 2,000 tons worth $2.6 million, followed by Russia, which imported 856 tons of milk and cream valued at $4.2 million, despite no imports in 2023. Exports to Uzbekistan also rose significantly to 732 tons, bringing in $1.2 million. Afghanistan, a new market, imported 88 tons valued at $149,000.
