Kyrgyzstan Leads EAEU in Producer Price Growth for Agricultural Products Since Early 2026
In monthly terms, compared to February 2026, producer prices for agricultural products in Kyrgyzstan increased by 6.4%. Compared to March last year, the growth was 13.8%, and for January-March compared to the same period in 2025, it was 11.7%.
The main contribution to the price increase was made by crop production. In March 2026, producer prices in this sector rose by 11% compared to February, by 17.7% compared to December 2025, and by 15.2% compared to March last year. For January-March, the growth was 12.4%.
In livestock farming, the dynamics were more moderate. Producer prices for live animals and animal products in Kyrgyzstan in March increased by 1.9% compared to February and by 3.3% compared to December 2025. In annual terms, the figure was 112.2%, and for January-March, it was 111.1%.
Overall, in the EAEU, the producer price index for agricultural products in March 2026 was 100.6% compared to February and 100.5% compared to December 2025. However, compared to March last year, the index decreased to 98.1%, and for January-March compared to the same period in 2025, it decreased to 97.9%.
Among the union countries, Kyrgyzstan leads in producer price growth for agricultural products since the beginning of the year with 110.2%. It is followed by Kazakhstan at 101.8% and Russia at 100.1%. In Belarus, the index was 99.5%, and in Armenia, it was 95.8%.
