The company's comparable sales in foreign markets where it operates restaurants (International Operated Markets) decreased by 1.1%. In the "development markets", where it operates under the licensing model (International Development Licensed Markets), the indicator fell by 1.3%.
McDonald's shares gained 0.6% in price during preliminary trading on Monday.
