The 23rd International Exhibition “Food, Ingredients and Production Technologies - UzFood 2024” will be held in Tashkent from March 26–28, 2024. The organizers of the event are the international exhibition company Iteca Exhibitions and its partner ICA Eurasia Group, The DairyNews reports with reference to the press release of the event.
"The food industry makes a significant contribution to the development of the economy of Uzbekistan. Positive growth trends have been recorded in recent years production, investment, employment, exports and expansion of production capacity," the statement said.
Employment in the food industry in Uzbekistan increased by 122%, the number of enterprises grew by 224%, and exports increased by 336%. Enterprises in the industry are mainly engaged in the processing of local raw materials. The above requires constant updating of the production base, introduction of innovations, and development of supply chains.
The UzFood exhibition, which has been a universal business platform for industry professionals for many years, has now turned into
the largest exhibition event of the food industry in Uzbekistan. This is where the latest equipment and technologies are demonstrated, and for
foreign participants - acquaintance with the promising and capacious market of Uzbekistan.
Another feature of the exhibition that distinguishes it fr om many similar events is the traditional organization of the only specialized platform in Uzbekistan, “Retail Center,” wh ere direct negotiations between food suppliers and buyers will take place.
