China has lifted restrictions on previous foot-and-mouth disease restrictions for Kazakhstan

The lifting of restrictions became possible thanks to active negotiations between Kazakhstan and China, as well as a risk assessment for various animal diseases carried out by the Chinese side. The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, emphasized the country’s readiness to supply livestock products to China.

This event opens up new opportunities for Kazakh enterprises, which can begin the procedure for harmonizing veterinary requirements to expand the range of export goods. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan will continue to work to expand the list of enterprises oriented to export to China, which contributes to the development of the country's agro-industrial complex and helps to increase export volumes.
