Kerry Dairy Ireland has confirmed the milk price for February deliveries at 52.47c/L which includes VAT and a 1c/L base-price top-up, as well as quality and sustainability bonuses. For EU standard constituents, the effective price is 57.31c/L.
The overall return based on average milk solids is projected at 60c/L. Despite geopolitical uncertainties, the demand for butter and cheese remains robust, while the pace of European milk production could impact prices.
Meanwhile, Lakeland Dairies has reduced its base price by 1c/L, offering 48.75c/L including a Sustainability Incentive Payment, alongside bonuses for early calving and out-of-season supply.
