Kazakhstan Increased Imports of Milk and Condensed Milk from Russia

According to the Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan, analyzed by TASS, in the first seven months of 2026, the republic imported milk and cream from Russia worth $14.7 million. A year earlier, the cost of such supplies was about $13.6 million.

The physical volume of milk and cream imports remained almost unchanged, reaching approximately 10.1 thousand tons. Thus, the growth in monetary terms was accompanied by a stable volume of supplies at the level of the previous year.

Imports of condensed milk and cream with added sugar increased by 30%, reaching $28 million. In physical terms, the supply of this product grew by about 20%—almost 10.2 thousand tons compared to 8.4 thousand tons in January-July 2025.

The calculations cover the period from January to the end of July 2026. The comparison was made with the same period of the previous year based on Kazakhstan's statistics.

By the end of the seven months, Russia became the largest supplier of goods to Kazakhstan, accounting for 30.8% of the republic's total imports.
