SBK Company, Brand Kazakhstan, and NEW Energy Drink have agreed to collaborate with the United Arab Emirates-based retail chain LuLu during the Global Food Week 2026 in Abu Dhabi. Before sales commence, the parties need to finalize product range, commercial terms, and logistics.

The agreements were signed during the Global Food Week 2026 exhibition, held from October 6–8 at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. The company QazTrade reported the agreements. The Kazakhstani signatories include SBK Company, Brand Kazakhstan, and NEW Energy Drink.

The companies operate in different product categories: SBK Company and Brand Kazakhstan offer food products and natural honey, while NEW Energy Drink specializes in energy drinks. These agreements provide opportunities to utilize LuLu's retail infrastructure to enter the United Arab Emirates market.

The signing of these documents does not imply immediate product availability in stores. Before deliveries commence, the product range must be determined, commercial parameters agreed upon, and product requirements verified for compliance with the network. Logistics and regular shipment arrangements must also be addressed. Details on potential market entry, volumes, agreement value, and store lists remain undisclosed.

Other participants exhibited at the Made in Kazakhstan national stand: Nurel Product, Alan i K, TOO Shabyt / Speranza, and Qazaq Gourmet. The exhibit included honey, cereals, grain products, processed fruit products, beverages, fresh beef and lamb, as well as Halal-labeled meat products. However, the statement regarding agreements with LuLu included only three companies.

Kazakhstan has been negotiating with Emirati retail networks for several years. In December 2024, the Kazakhstani delegation discussed expanding supplies, joint promotion, and marketing activities with LuLu Group International and Grandiose leadership. That visit included tasting sessions of Kazakhstani dishes, such as those made from local lamb, in one of the LuLu stores.

In January 2026, discussions also focused on exporting livestock products to the United Arab Emirates and India. Topics included veterinary certification, logistics, and direct interaction between producers and importers. Ainur Amirbekova, Deputy General Director of QazTrade, stated that post-presentation work with potential buyers, trading network requirement alignment, and preparing enterprises for actual deliveries are needed. She added that QazTrade intends to support companies from their initial market entry to establishing export channels.
