The food corporation is negotiating with the Iranian company FREEDOM SKY TRADING FZCO about resuming supplies of Kazakh grain. Products discussed include barley, feed wheat and corn. The negotiations are aimed at establishing cooperation in the field of transporting these agricultural goods to Iran, both via water and land routes.

According to information received from representatives of the Food Corporation, earlier supplies of Kazakh grain to Iran were suspended. This is due to Iran’s preference to purchase grain from Russia, especially after the decline in prices for products of the Russian Federation.
Kazakhstan and Iran have long-term trade relations in agricultural commodities such as wheat and barley. Given favorable market conditions, the establishment of stable grain export supplies is an important aspect of the development of trade between countries.
