Insights and Analysis

Experts attribute the growth in major categories to increased demand for traditional dairy products and investments in the processing sector. However, the decline in kumis and shubat production may stem from changes in consumer preferences and logistical challenges related to their production and distribution.

The 5.6% increase in value terms highlights the resilience of Kazakhstan's dairy sector despite slowing growth rates in recent years. To maintain long-term momentum, strengthening the traditional national beverages segment, such as kumis and shubat, will be crucial.
