Kazakhstan rose to fifth place among suppliers of sunflower meal to the European Union

In July-October 2023-24 marketing year, Kazakhstan exported 24.15 thousand tons of sunflower meal to the EU (compared to 9.87 thousand tons for the same period last season). The largest monthly volume was shipped in October 2023 – 11.65 thousand tons (versus 5.57 thousand tons in October 2022).

According to the European Commission, the main volume of Kazakh sunflower meal was sent to Sweden (12.6 thousand tons). Denmark purchased 3.9 thousand tons, Finland – 2.5 thousand tons, Latvia – 2.41 thousand tons, Germany – 1.5 thousand tons, Estonia – 1.15 thousand tons.

According to the European Commission, the top 4 main suppliers of sunflower meal in the EU based on the results of the first four months of the current season included Ukraine, Argentina, Russia and Moldova.
