Kazakhstan increased dairy exports by 14% in 2024

Significant growth was recorded in the butter category: exports increased by 2.4 times, to 4.3 thousand tons. The main destinations were Russia, Turkmenistan, and Armenia.
Supplies of cheeses and curd are developing no less actively: growth amounted to 27.9% (up to 3.9 thousand tons), and products are sent not only to traditional markets for Kazakhstan – Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia – but also to the UAE and South Korea.
Yogurts and kefir also showed positive dynamics: exports increased by 14%, to 14.3 thousand tons. The importers were the countries of Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and Mongolia.
Of particular note is the supply of condensed milk to Saudi Arabia – despite an overall decrease in production volumes by 20.2% (to 5.8 thousand tons), Kazakhstani producers were able to enter a new export market. In general, exports of dry and condensed milk in 2024 decreased by 9.4%, to 1.3 thousand tons. The main buyers are Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
