José Sáez Leads Spain's Liquid Milk Industry
José Sáez, currently the General Manager of Purchases and Supplies at Lactalis in Spain and Portugal, has been appointed as the new president of the National Association of Liquid Milk and Long-lasting Dairy Products (integrated into FeNIL). Sáez replaces Óscar Hernández from Calidad Pascual.

Sáez brings over 25 years of experience in consumer goods and dairy sectors, with past roles at Leche Celta, Coca-Cola, and Dacsa. His leadership will face specific challenges as liquid milk products and their long-lasting derivatives, such as cream, shakes, and drinkable dairy foods, have suffered from dwindling value, relevance, and innovation in recent years.

Under Sáez's leadership, the focus will be on a 'pragmatic and consensus-driven agenda' to enhance competitiveness and ensure the sector's future sustainability. This will involve championing innovation, recovering value, and adapting to current market demands.

Sáez will work alongside Florencio Rodríguez (CAPSA) as vice-president and Montse Jódar (Grupo Cacaolat) as treasurer, both of whom bring substantial representation and influence within significant categories and companies in the Spanish dairy sector.
