Iran's Solico Group to Build Cheese Production Plant in Almaty Region
Iran's Solico Group intends to build a modern cheese production plant in the Almaty region with a capacity of up to 100 tons per day. The project was discussed at a meeting between the head of the Baiterek Holding, Rustam Karagoyshin, and the company's leadership, led by Alireza Mohammad Rahimi, the general director of Solico Group for the CIS countries.
According to the participants of the negotiations, the enterprise will create 460 jobs and will focus on producing competitive products for both the domestic market and for export to the countries of Central Asia and the Middle East.
Funding for the project is expected to be considered with the participation of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan, which has experience in supporting large industrial projects.
Rustam Karagoyshin noted that priority is given to initiatives that create high added value and contribute to the growth of export potential. The next stage will involve detailed elaboration of the technical and financial parameters.
As a result of the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at developing processing and expanding the production capacities of Kazakhstan's food industry.
