Inside the Industry: How Palm Oil is Grown and Processed in Malaysia – A Photo Report from a Press Tour
From June 15 to 21, a representative of DairyNews.today took part in a press tour for journalists in Malaysia, organized to provide an introduction to the palm oil industry.
Over the course of a week, participants visited oil palm plantations, processing plants, training centers for smallholder farmers, and the offices of major agribusiness companies.
Malaysia is one of the world’s leading producers of palm oil, exporting to more than 150 countries. The country is actively developing sustainable production standards, including the national MSPO certification, which aims to reduce environmental impact and support local communities.
