Over the course of a week, participants visited oil palm plantations, processing plants, training centers for smallholder farmers, and the offices of major agribusiness companies.
Malaysia is one of the world’s leading producers of palm oil, exporting to more than 150 countries. The country is actively developing sustainable production standards, including the national MSPO certification, which aims to reduce environmental impact and support local communities.
