As of September 9, 2024, 2.2 million head of cattle were recorded in Kyrgyzstan. However, on September 10, Daniyar Zhanyzakov, Head of the Food Security Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, reported that the data requires revision.
Currently, an inventory is being conducted in Kyrgyzstan, and a preliminary recount by local veterinarians shows the actual number to be 1.72 million head.
