The open international cheese competition Cheese Open 2024 will be held in Aktau on May 9-10, 2024. This is reported by The DairyNews with reference to the social network of the goat farm "Zheti lak" (Жеті лақ) from Mangystau.

The cheese competition will be held with the support of the International Guild of Cheese Makers and within the framework of the Forum of Dairy Industry Experts and Cheese Producers.
The founders of the Zheti Lak goat farm write about the upcoming event: "This is an absolute achievement for us! There is a lot of work ahead!"
Earlier, in an interview for The DairyNews, Alexandra Grigolova, a master cheesemaker fr om Zheti Lak, shared her plans: "This year we were accepted into the International Guild of Cheesemakers, the first from the entire Central Asian region. The Guild's activities are aimed at developing a culture of cheese production and consumption, and the active development of the dairy industry as a whole. Now, in tandem with the Guild members, we are preparing a large training for all cheese experts in Kazakhstan, including experts from related industries – chefs, chef chefs of restaurants, wine producers, manufacturers of solutions and equipment, manufacturers of components, etc. There will be a large open event, absolutely everyone can take part, there will be sessions aimed at industry professionals and there will be general master classes, the whole program will take three days. We also plan to hold the First Open Cheese and dairy Products competition within the framework of this event, wh ere each manufacturer will be able to receive feedback from international experts."
It is noted that registration for the Forum and the contest will begin on March 1, information will appear on the Instagram account of the contest @cheeseopencon.
